Thank You!!

I considered writing stories about events and people in my life for many years. I finally got to a point, where it became possible.

Truthfully, however, it was more a matter of being brave enough. My road to this point has been a bit tough at times. As I continue to open up and expand on my stories, I will reveal more about this road I’ve travelled. Maybe some of you will find common threads with your own stories.

I am a shy person, when it concerns opening up to people. The idea that people would enjoy reading something I have written still amazes me.

I am writing this short, non-story, post to say THANK YOU! My blog “Call Me Lou.” has reached the small milestone of 100+ WordPress followers after 21 posts. While it is still a “baby blog” compared to most others, it has become a huge part of my life.

My wife told someone the other day that her husband was a part-time attorney and a full-time writer. I never thought of myself as a writer. I just figured I’d share a few stories that might have meaning to others.

I think of myself merely as an amateur storyteller.

Many of you have left comments on posts, which I have enjoyed. You have allowed me to become a part of your community. I have had to drop my armor a bit and let people see a parts of me that are normally hidden. Your encouragement has made me feel welcome and valued.

My blog site.

Thank You all and I look forward to writing and growing with your continued kind guidance and encouragement.

John

I was born and raised in Kansas as part of a family of 7 children. My father was a minister in the United Methodist Church for 50 years. We moved, consequently, every few years to a new church. Each new location became a new chapter in the journey. I have had the privilege of knowing so many different people from varying backgrounds. I wanted to share some of the stories and adventures I have had.

  1. Some day when you’re rich and famous, I can honestly say “hey, I know that guy”. And even if you don’t reach that milestone, you are very entertaining, indeed!
